Madeleine Peyroux, the jazz and roots singer renowned for her interpretation of classic singers like Billie Holiday, is on a nationwide tour that stops at the Berklee Performance Center in Boston on Friday, October 7 at 7:30 p.m.

The American-born singer spent her childhood in Athens, GA, Southern California and Brooklyn NY before moving to Paris, France, where she spent years as a busker and club performer perfecting her  unique sound.

Her brand new album, Standing on the Rooftop, includes eight original compositions, three covers of songs by Robert Johnson, Bob Dylan and the Beatles, and a poem by British poet W.H. Auden.
